What is the difference between being childlike and childish?

In Luke 18:17, Jesus says that anyone who does not receive the kingdom like a little child shall not enter into it. Childlike faith provides entrance into the kingdom. And yet many Christians confuse having faith like a child with actually behaving like a child. There are many who may or may not have childlike faith, but who behave in childish ways. Jesus wants us to be childlike, not childish.

The next youth gathering will be held on the 15th of August at Room 2-1 from 1-3pm. All are welcome!

We will also be having a Youth Sponsored Mass on the 29th of August. Please do come and join us in the choir or as a warden wearing any Youth Rally t-shirt from previous years.

It was an enlightening yet hilarious weekend for 60 or so youths when they attended a two-day workshop which helped them to discover more about prayer and spirituality.

The Youth in the Experience Seminar (YES), which touched on these topics was conducted by Martin Jalleh, a renowned speaker and 3-time SIC Youth Rally facilitator and assisted by the Junior Youth Ministry of St. Ignatius. Held on the 17^th and 18^th of July in the Costantini Community centre, the seminar kicked off at 9 a.m. on the first day with a short praise and worship session by Augustine Ow.

Then came the first session by Martin – the ins and outs of prayer. From this, the participants found out about prayer and how it is important in daily life. Martin even included biblical examples to further...

The next youth gathering will be held on Sunday, 20th June in Room 2-1 from 1.00-3.00 p.m. Exciting icebreakers, praise and worship as well as a meaningful session will be held. All are welcome, so see you there!

Be charmed with an evening of songs from box office movies like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sister Act, Phantom of the Opera, The Flinstones. Also featuring songs by Michael Jackson, Moses Hogan, Byron Smith, James Taylor, Mozart and many others!

As another year comes, another Outreach Team graduates and when a team graduates there is always the welcoming of a new Outreach Team. The camp started out with a blast on the 7th of May. Registration went smoothly and without a hitch as did the loading of equipment and luggage.

After a blessing from Father Anthony Heng, we were off. The bus ride took its normal 1 hour and 30 minutes plus duration and the next time we knew we were all unloading the bus at The Farm. It seemed God...

This morning at the 9.00a.m. mass, Fr. Philip Tan handed out the annual Vendargon Awards (Archdiocese level) to youths from St. Ignatius Church, PJ who excelled in their school results, Bible knowledge and faith leadership.

Chicken Rendang! Chocolate and vanilla milkshakes! American Breakfast!

These are just some of the scrumptious, mouth-watering dishes that will be on sale at the SIC Junior Youth Ministry-sponsored Coffee Morning this Sunday (23/5). All proceeds from the event will be used to fund our annual activities. So do come and support us! Not only do you get a satisfying feast out of it, you can be ensured that all proceeds from the Coffee Morning will be used for a worthy cause.

    He is Risen! In this Easter season Christ is alive in you and me, and that was plainly apparent at our recent annual JYM Easter Party on the 24^th of April. There was a turnout of over a hundred youth and parents on the second floor of the SIC Constantini Community Centre from 7.30 – 10-30p.m. that Saturday night. Ask any one of them and they’d probably tell you what a great experience they had! 

The time has come for yet another annual SIC JYM Easter Party!

The gathering, which was originally on the 18^th of April, has been postponed to the 2^nd of May in lieu of the upcoming JYM Easter Party. The time (1-3pm) and place (Room 2-1) remain unchanged. Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

This month is not only full of activity for our ministry, but also for our church! Why??? Because Easter is nearly here!

So, as obliging young Catholics, its time to remember our faith, and make an effort to go for mass!  The mass times for Saint Ignatius Church are as follows:
